Switzerland-best weekend ever!!

I just got home from Interlaken, Switzerland last night. I went there with 4 other girls and then met a bunch of other friends there. We took a bus there on Thursday night, arrived at our hostel at around 2 am and got right to bed so we could start off an adventurous day on Friday. Friday morning, I was the early riser as I was so excited to get out on the mountains. Just looking outside our window was like looking at a painting! We all has different plans of what we wanted to do while we were there so we worked around that accordingly. On Friday, me and my friends Hailey and Brit decided to go snowboarding, along with 2 other girls we met there. Yes, I went snowboarding in the SWISS ALPS! It was such an amazing day. It was definitely the best powder and snow I’ve ever rode down-and the first run itself lasted about 2 hours!! I couldn’t help but stop every once in awhile and just take in what was all around me! I took lots of pictures! It was crazy because I never once got onto a lift, instead you got onto a train at the bottom that hauled everyone back to the top! The train ride was about 30 mins. That night most of us were sore and tired so we took it easy and just went out for dinner and to bed early!

Saturday was a low key day for me. All of the girls I was with went skydiving and paragliding, but since I had already been skydiving in the states (and it was outrageously expensive) and paragliding seemed boring I held off on the both of them and went to explore Interlaken on my own. It is such a beautiful area, even walking downtown you are still surrounded by the mountains! I stop by a bunch of different shops-bought myself a Switzerland beanie! AND stopped in lots of chocolate shops! I bought a few swiss chocolate bars and a couple”real” homemade swiss chocolate things, but it was pretty expensive! You will be getting a little suprise soon Mom and Dad!

Sunday was my day of adventure! I signed up for Canyon Jumping!! There are only three places in the world that have Canyon Jumping so I knew I had to do it! I was WAY more scared for this than I was for skydiving! You are harnessed in at the waist and start on a platform on a cliff on the side of the canyon. After getting all strapped in you JUMP! The fall is about 300 feet with a 6 second free fall until the rope catches!!! It was sooo crazy but I loved every second of hanging between an ice covered canyon!      (I have a video of the jump and will try to post it on here!)
